Northshore Hamilton is undergoing a spectacular transformation and will host the main athlete village for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The already popular precinct is home to landmarks such as Portside and Eat Street Markets, hosts cultural and lifestyle events, is a premiere location for waterfront living, and has open space, walkways and playgrounds throughout.
After the Games, the village will provide new permanent dwellings for South East Queensland’s growing population, located within the Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area. The Brisbane Athletes Village will become a diverse riverfront housing development that includes social, retirement, key worker and build-to-rent accommodation, hotel stock and market housing.
Brisbane 2032 use:
The Brisbane Athletes Village will house more than 10,000 athletes and team officials for the Olympic Games and more than 5000 for the Paralympic Games and have training facilities.
Athlete villages are being considered within the 100 Day Review into Games infrastructure and planning.
