About the 100 Day Review

The Queensland Government asked the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) to carry out a comprehensive 100 Day Review of Games infrastructure and planning.  The purpose of the Review was to ensure Queensland seizes the gift of hosting the Games to deliver the right projects in the right places with the right governance.

In developing the Report, GIICA and its Board followed a structured and transparent methodology underpinned by an evidence-based, data-driven approach, guided by the 100 Day Review Terms of Reference

We assessed key infrastructure and connectivity to ensure integration across venues, transport projects and athlete villages. We considered deliverability, legacy impact, value for money and alignment with long-term growth strategies that will deliver lasting social, community and economic benefits for Queensland whilst enabling the successful delivery of the Games.

From 5,862 submissions and over 150 stakeholder meetings, GIICA examined what’s really needed, what can be delivered and what represents a long-term return on investment for Queenslanders.
