Current Status
All venues are being considered within the 100 Day Review into Games infrastructure and planning.
The new Redland Whitewater Centre will be developed as a sustainable international-standard whitewater venue, providing a unique addition to sport and recreation facilities for the Redlands community.
Before and after the Games, Paddle Australia and Paddle Queensland will use the facility for high performance sport and sport development. It will also provide a year-round swift water training facility for emergency services personnel.
Brisbane 2032 use:
The Redland Whitewater Centre is earmarked to host the canoe slalom with capacity for 8,000 spectator seats and a separate warm-up channel.
