Better, faster, stronger

Young Queenslanders have a head start, thanks to the $100 million Go for Gold Fund to enhance school sports facilities and equipment for both traditional and emerging sports to develop the next generation of medal winners. In addition, the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is leading the YouFor2032 program, Australia’s largest-ever search for sporting talent.

Queensland's stars of tomorrow

The YouFor2032 Talent Identification Program, designed by QAS, is looking for Queensland’s next top athletes with natural sporting ability and a performance mindset to take their Olympic and Paralympic ambitions all the way. Across 2 years, thousands of young Queenslanders will be tested and assessed for their medal-winning potential through a statewide search for future elite athletes with untapped aptitude to win at the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
