The Games Venue and Legacy Delivery Authority will maximise the opportunity and legacy of hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games to benefit all of Queensland.
About us
Established in July 2024, the Games Venue and Legacy Delivery Authority (GVLDA) has responsibility for delivering new and upgraded venues that will be used during the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and that will benefit of communities well beyond the Games.
In addition, GVLDA will monitor the delivery of villages, develop a Transport and Mobility Strategy, and maximise the opportunity of hosting the Games through a range of programs focused on: Legacy, Sustainability, First Nations, Accessibility and Inclusion, and Procurement and Supply Chain.

Right to Information
Right to Information is the approach to giving the community greater access to information.
Applications for documents under the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) are intended to be necessary only as a last resort. This is because it is the government’s preference to provide information administratively where appropriate, avoiding the need for applications under the RTI and IP Acts.
The IP Act also provides a formal method for individuals to apply to amend their personal information in documents held by the government which the individual believes is inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or misleading.

The Right to Information team can help determine if the information you are seeking is held by the Authority and is accessible or if you need to make an application under the RTI Act or IP Act to access it.
How to make an application for documents under the RTI Act or IP Act
To access other Games Venue and Legacy Delivery Authority information, you will need to make a formal application under the Right to Information Act 2009 or the Information Privacy Act 2009 (if the information is your personal information).
You can do so by completing the printable RTI application form (external site) and submitting via email to GVLDA.RTI@gvlda.au.
